Aa'isha (peace be upon her) said: "How excellent the women of the Ansaar were! Modesty and shame did not prevent them from gaining an understanding of Islam.
The reason I posted the above is to point out the importance of asking about personal matters. If we do not ask because of shyness or embarrassment we will continue to live in ignorance and in turn pass on this ignorance unto our children.

So true sis. It's such a beautiful thing, Islam and the fact that our Prophet, a beautiful person, was always straighforward when talking about relations between wife and husband and related issues. So this is a great reminder; we must pass this openness, within the limits of Islam, to the future generations, so that they will not seek such information, that is likely to be of the wrong flavor, elsewhere.
I was fortunate that my late father was very open about certain things when I came of age - yes, he was a doctor, but also, having that close father-son relationship made things much easier and I was never shy in either finding out things from him and now, for myself through the correct sources. Jazak'Allahu Khairan for the reminder Sister Amira.
